The Triple Crown
The Triple Crown in the USA, is the shortened term for the Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing. It is constituted by three races run over a six week period from the beginning of May to the middle of June. The first leg is the Kentucky Derby, the second leg is the Preakness Stakes and the third and final leg is this race, the Belmont Stakes.
