2006 Result

The 2006 Triple Crown came to an end at Belmont Park when the race was won by 6/1 shot Jazil. 12 hopefuls went to the stalls but it was jazil who led them home after a slow run race. Jazil, who had been 4th in the Kentucky Derby, started very slowly but rallied to shoot from last to first to catch the 5-1 chance Bluegrass Cat at the top of the stretch and then pull away to win by 1¼ lengths. Sunriver was third with Steppenwolfer back in fourth.
